What DÁN Is

DÁN is a daily practice app rooted in Celtic and Irish tradition. It provides users with a daily Ogham stave draw, archetype-based interpretations, a personal journal (Dialann), seasonal festival guidance, and related features.

DÁN is intended for personal reflection and cultural engagement. It is not a medical service, a mental health tool, a religious institution, or a form of divination that makes claims about your future. Nothing in the app should be taken as professional advice of any kind.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use DÁN. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have the permission of a parent or guardian.

DÁN is available globally where permitted by applicable law. We make no representation that the app is appropriate or available in all locations.

Your Account

To use DÁN you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Please notify us immediately at i0041974@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We cannot be held liable for losses arising from unauthorised use of your credentials.

You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep it current. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use DÁN only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the app, its servers, or any connected systems
• Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
• Use automated tools to access, scrape, or interact with the app
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

We reserve the right to terminate access for any user who violates these conditions.

Your Content

DÁN allows you to write personal reflections in your Dialann (journal). You retain full ownership of any content you create within the app. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not sell, share, or use your journal reflections for any purpose other than delivering your experience of DÁN. Your reflections are private to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that anything you write does not violate the rights of any third party.

Intellectual Property

All content within DÁN — including but not limited to the Ogham interpretations, archetype descriptions, festival guidance, Irish language content, design, graphics, and code — is the property of Brian Murray or its respective rights holders, and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of DÁN without express written permission.

The DÁN name, wordmark, and associated branding are proprietary. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

Subscriptions and Payments

DÁN currently offers a free tier. Premium features may be introduced in future. Where paid subscriptions are offered, the following applies:

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected)
• Payment is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the relevant app store

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of the app after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Disclaimers

DÁN is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

The content within DÁN — including Ogham interpretations, archetype guidance, and seasonal writing — is offered for reflective and cultural purposes only. It does not constitute advice of any professional, medical, psychological, financial, or legal nature. You should not make significant life decisions based solely on content within DÁN.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of or reliance on the app or its content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Brian Murray shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of DÁN.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish or EU law.

Termination

You may stop using DÁN at any time and request deletion of your account and data through the app (Mise → Delete all my data) or by contacting us directly.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to DÁN at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful activity, or if continued access poses a risk to other users or to the service.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — shall do so.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — for example, through a notice within the app.

Continued use of DÁN after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the app and delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

If you are a consumer based in the EU, you may also be entitled to the protections afforded by the law of your country of residence where those protections cannot be excluded by contract.
